Every summer we manage to take a week to vacation somewhere on the Maine coast. This year we were a little more apprehensive about it because June and half of July were washouts with all the rain we had. Luckily, the weather was excellent! We had sunshine and hot days the whole week. Luckily the house we rented (just a stone’s throw from the lighthouse in the movie Forrest Gump) had a nice sandy beach nearby.

Who knows where we’ll end up next year! I’m sure it will be another fun place though — it’s hard to get tired of the beautiful Maine coastline.
