Yahoo! released a variety of AJAX and ‘Web 2.0′ type tools for integration into websites today in their new Developer’s Network. A preliminary look reveals there’s some decent stuff, but its not offering much more that what’s already out there like script.aculo.us – web 2.0 javascript, dojo, prototype, dwr and others. Nonetheless, there’s a few things like the Flickr component that’s kinda cool and would be nice to repurpose here with my own image library instead of using Flickr.
One might think this is something Google would do, but many of Yahoo!’s recent acquisitions are very ‘Web 2.0′ and this seems to fall into place with their current maneuverings.
