Christmas

by Michael Dinsmore

Christmas was an enjoyable time with family and funny dogs (wearing costumes). The girls were happy to see Santa stopped by and everyone enjoyed a nice dinner. Shortly after the holiday everyone parted and went their separate ways – North Carolina, Vermont and New Hampshire.

Kate had her first ski lesson on Cannon Mountain over the holidays. Her first runs down the slope were a little crazy but she quickly got the hang of it and was skiing down the beginner slope with just the Lucky Bums ski harness keeping her from skiing off by herself. She did an excellent job and look like she’ll be showing her sister some moves before she knows it!

Old Town Hill in Newbury, Massachusetts

by Michael Dinsmore

We went for a walk at the Old Town Hill in Newbury, Massachusetts today. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t quite as warm as yesterday. It wasn’t raining so we could at least make the attempt to enjoy the day and spend time outdoors. The Old Town Hill is a Trustees of the Reservations property consisting of beautiful salt marshes, lowlands and forest.

We bought our camera in hopes of getting a nice photo of Rebecca and Kate. That didn’t happen — they were too busy saying how cold it was. I did get a few decent photos though, as you can see below.

Trip to Vermont

by Michael Dinsmore
2008.09.13 Vermont

We went to Vermont this past weekend to celebrate my grandmother’s 101st birthday and my Dad’s birthday too. My brother Pete and his wife Sharon and two of their children, Lauren and Andrew were there too. They flew up from North Carolina earlier that day.

We had a fun time and the pictures tell the story!
